Here's Sunday's Project:
I found this book box at Ross and just fell in love with it.
When I started to altered it, I realized I didn't want to deter from that gorgeous picture.
I just added a handmade ribbon flower and used my Want2Scrap bling.
Isn't she beautiful?
Here's a close up of the ribbon flower and I used Close to my Heart hatpins and button.
The inside of the box just needed a little somethin' and I had a few Marilyn photos and hand wrote one of my favorite quotes from her.
You can't really tell here but I Utee'd the chipboard and added more ribbon to finish it off. I don't usually hand-write anything, not sure if I will again.... :)
Enjoy a wonderful week everyone.

Saw your post on OWSE, Kim. Had to take a peek at what a lazy girl has been up to. I love Marilyn! Your hand lettering is pretty great too. I write like an epileptic chicken myself, LOL.
I love the Marilyn box. she has always been one of my favorites. Your blog is beautiful. I became a follower so that I could pop in from time to time.
Hope to get to know you better.
Faye
This box is great, love the way you 'altered' the image.
I love Marilyn!! Such a beauty wasn't she? Love your box, and I don't blame you, I wouldn't do much to the cover either! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
Fabulous box! I do believe that Marilyn would be honored! Love that flower!
