Garden Time

Good Saturday Morning  Everyone!
Well, it's that time again. Lowe's is having a 2 for 1 veggie plant sale so I'm heading over there today. It's a little cloudy and cold here so it's hard to get motivated to plant. But wait..... I had to have this cute little greenhouse last year. Hmmm. Maybe I should put that to use. :)  But more importantly, my mind started crafting and I have a cute project in my head that's a little seedy ;) .  So.... Planting and crafting are on my agenda today. NO HOUSE CLEANING!
Look how weedless this is...... It doesn't look like that now!

Flat to Fluffy Flowers

Finally I received my Helmar products and I went to work gluing, gluing, gluing. So I wanted to try out the 450 quick dry and the gemstone glue and see how it worked on prima flowers. I was so thrilled with outcome. They are stuck.... and it was a matter of seconds. I used my copics to color up the flowers and added a little glimmer mist. So I went from the flat flowers in the bottom of the picture to the fluffy at top. Now what to do with those flowers? I see another paper box in my future. Enjoy your week everyone! I still have 3 more products to try out!

Little Notes

Hi Everyone:
I created a cute little note box for one of my submittals to Helmar Adhesives Design Team. Wish me luck. Kinda exciting, huh?
I love my Martha Stewart score board and I was reading the instructions (go figure) and it had a easy way to make boxes. I made mine to hold little notecards because I had them in my "stuff". But this can be a great little gift box or gift card box. Thinking already about an Easter box for truffles or little candies. Let's get started.....
  • My Supply List:
  • Teresa Collins Posh paper, blingage, AND the Stampmaker
  • Prima Flowers
  •  Bazzill Basics - paper flowers, date swirl and flintstone cardstock
  • Queen & Co - silver pearls
  • Recollections - demensional stickers
  • Ranger- Crystal stickles
  • Studio G - mini cards and envelopes
If you don't have a score board, get one, they are soooooo handy. Start with 2 8x8 cardstock and score 1 @ 2 and 6. Turn 90 degree and score @ 2 and 6 again. Now the tricky part, you have to score the other by aligning it at 1/16" mark and score @ 2 and 6 1/8", turn 90 degree and do the same. Cut slits in all 4 sides and form box.
Decorating the top of the box is just a personal preference, There are a ton of different themes you can do. Can you tell I love this? I used my stampmaker to create this simple "notes" stamp and attached it to the box. It took me 5 minutes create and print the stamp and 5 minutes to make it. It was a simple frame clipart I found in WORD and I liked how it matched the Posh line and then I just picked my font and done! That's how easy the machine is.

I used the scraps I had left over to cover the mini cards ( great find in the bargain bin for $1) and voila! Now..... who to give it to?

The Hills are Alive......

with the Sound of Music.......
In my foothills that is. The birds are chirping, horses whinnying and dogs barking.  I think they are thrilled with the sunshine, but it's cold here. Since I'm on the music theme, I thought I'd do a layout highlighting my daughter's talent! :) Since I can't play any instruments or hold a note, I am so impressed how she can pick up anything musical and figure it out. She is teaching herself piano now. Amazing.

On to the layout....... My list of supplies:
My "no idea where it came from stuff" :) : A key embelishment and sparkly chipboard letters

Black Textured Card Stock (2-12x12)                 Graphic 45 - Botanicabella Collection
Heidi Grace Designs - transparency overlays         Jillibean - heart sugar picks
Fancy Pants Fashion Sense - hand crocheted posies
Tim Holtz - Grungeboard swirls, Distress Ink in Fired Brick and Tea Dye

Sun Comes up - It's Tuesday Morning!

Good Morning Everyone! I watched the sun come up. Argggg. It must be my age, I'm not sleeping. Does anyone else have this problem????? The good thing is when I wake up in the middle of the night, I have ideas for crafting. SO...... remember that sketch book I made a couple posts ago? I now leave that by my bed and write down ideas that I have. That's what I did this morning. :) Maybe I'll wake up with the "Next Great Idea" someday. Have a great, sunny week!
