It's quiet around my household today. Both kids back to college and I'm, as always, sad. I hate when they go but I can't wait to get into that bathroom and clean it. :)
So, I thought I'd reflect on a good time I had with my friend Jan. I totally fell in love with
Cindy Estes' (From OWSE) video on these tiles and everyone got them for Christmas. Jan and I had a craft day and made a ton of them. They are sooooo easy. This is how we roll when we get
drufty. uh, crafty. :)

Oh I hear you with the kids going back to school ~ always so tough to stomach the silence afterwards.
What fun to have shared this time with Jan ~ I've never had a crafty friend to do things with and I can only imagine how wonderful that must be! Those tiles are GoRgEoUs too! Here's wishing you more creative fun filled times in the near future!

Patti, These are not smooth tiles. They are travertine and unfinished and pitted but you can use smooth. I prefer the rustic style myself. Exactly, stamped and embossed. BUT.... Make sure you spray an acrylic sealer when you're finished.

WOW, Kim, these are totally gorgeous and so is Jan! How fun and the results are stellar! I made tiles for Christmas too and had a tutorial on them on my magazine blog...But, I also made bigger ones and ordered metal stands online so that they could stand up on a table. Yours are over-the top amazing!!! WOO HOO!!! I LOVE them!! I wish you'd link these up to the link party because people would love them!!!
