Bling it On!
Check it out my friends. Spent some time (and mooooo-la) with Robert over at Want2Scrap. I picked up some Nestabling and matching nestaboards for some creative projects. I loved the combinations. Here's my Make n' Take at their booth...... Isn't it adorable? Again, they were so helpful with my order. I'm so glad they were kind to the nobody who wants to be sombody someday.

CHA CHA CHA
Although I had an amazing time and met some wonderful creative souls, I was there to work. It was rough. :) All these people grabbing my arm pulling me over to their booths, forcing me to sign my name, stealing my card out of my wallet. So cruel!
Can I just say WOW? And I'm not just talking about CHA. My very first purchase was from Suzy West and WOW. I loved her embossing powders and just can't wait to offer them to you and include them in a new class. The colors are so vibrant. I couldn't decide so I bought all the colors (they forced me, I swear!), although limited quantities. I have a feeling you'll love them too. BTW..... She was adorable and just a truly nice person. She was very supportive of a "newbie retailer". And another BTW...... Her daughter Angel was just as adorable and helpful. I'm happy to start using her powders and promoting her business. I'm gonna WOW you!

Tiles! Tiles! Tiles!
Good Morning Everyone:
It's quiet around my household today. Both kids back to college and I'm, as always, sad. I hate when they go but I can't wait to get into that bathroom and clean it. :)
So, I thought I'd reflect on a good time I had with my friend Jan. I totally fell in love with Cindy Estes' (From OWSE) video on these tiles and everyone got them for Christmas. Jan and I had a craft day and made a ton of them. They are sooooo easy. This is how we roll when we getdrufty. uh, crafty. :)

Gothic Valentine, Me?
Boy did I step out of my comfort zone. I joined in on Tracy's, (over at Helmar) Ustream chat on Monday and I was amazed that she could create an art page in an hour. It takes me forever. She gave me some good advice, Don't worry about what you're doing. Don't think about it too much and just let it happen. Not those exact words but you get the picture. So I decided I would do just one card and try to keep it to an hour (I went over!). Even though this is a little different. I really liked it. I also dropped by Pink Saturday for a visit.
So I just started diggin into my stash and went from there:
Prima flowers
Coordination Paper
Cranberry Zing Glimmer Mist
Black acrylic paint
Stamp I made with my Stampmaker
Want to Scrap bling
Darice Embossing folder
I embossed the cardstock and it actually caused the paper to tear so I just went with it. (Letting go of my sense of order). |
I LOVE my Teresa Collins Stampmaker. I had made this stamp last year. I stamped it on some type of paper I found in my stash, Used a dry brush with black paint to goth everything up. Glimmer misted my flowers. I Painted this bird I found, added the flowers ribbon and bling and voila. Now..... Who to give it to? Does it look too dark for a Valentine? BTW.... I sent this over to the Sugar Creek Hollow Embossing Challenge. |

Leather and Lace
From This
To This
I found this little box with a big cut on the top so I got it for $3.00. My friend gave me a bag of leather scraps and I went to town. I had to strip all the vinyl off and remove the hardware.
I did try to run the leather through my cuttlebug and it worked except you can’t really see the design in the pics. I found that it has to be pretty thin leather or it won’t work.
I used Helmar 450 glue (my fav as always) to attached the leather and lace. It dries completely clear.
I found this old cowboy pic at our local antique store and the frame came from goodwill. I dropped the frame and concho in a plastic bag and dropped a couple of drops of butterscotch alcohol ink in. (Tim Holtz style) Filled in the picture with Sakura 3d Crystal Lacquer. I added the Prima crystal embellishment and stuck it all down with 450.
I love experimenting with different textures and I think I'll keep this box!
Happy Trails

And Then There's Jan.........
My friend Jan continues to amaze me. I will tell you when she decides to do something, it gets done! I’m thanking her because she has given me the most support anyone could on my crazy ventures and she doesn’t know the word fear! She is the NIKE girl…… JUST DO IT! We talk almost every morning on our way to work to bounce ideas and complain about stuff! J I met Jan when we both rode on the PaintedLadies Rodeo Drill Team years ago. And boy did we have trouble fun. She’s made videos, wrote books, trickrides, writes music, life coaches, way too much to even write here. MY favorite thing she does….. She sings...... she sings amazingly. Check out ALL that she does..... I can't keep up with her.
